About Diane Yantis...

My name is Diane D. Yantis.  I began my journey into the birth field in 1999.  I became a Certified Birth Doula with DONA that same year.  Since that time I have certified as a Childbirth Educator, Lactation Educator and an Antepartum Doula.  I began a new era in the childbirth field with the Childbirth and Postpartum Professional Association, by writing the Antepartum Doula Certification Program.  With the launch of that program, I served as their Program Director.  I believe that the support a doula provides is invaluable for high-risk women and their families.

After a short retirement to due to adding more children to my family, I decided to make birth my career.  After which time, I became certified as a Childbirth Educator with Advanced Birthing Concepts.  I wrote another certification program which provides more in depth research on high-risk pregnancy issues for Advanced Birthing Concepts, known as the Antepartum Care Specialist.  Recently, I expanded my care to assist families during the postpartum time as a postpartum doula.  I have also become a certified educator for The Happiest Baby on the Block and a certified doula with DONA (Doulas of North America).

I have expanded my career to begin training birth professionals.  Empowering women to begin or enhance their careers in the childbirth field is part of my passion.  I am excited to begin training Antepartum Care Specialists, Childbirth Educators and continuing education courses this year.  For more information about the trainings I will be offering across the country, please view my Professionals Page.

My greatest joys are being a wife and a mother to six preemies, including a set of twins, all arriving at 36 weeks or earlier. I am very proud to say I am a bedrest survivor!”

I have had a variety of births myself, completely natural to a cesarean section so I understand that childbirth is hard work.
