The Professional Childbirth Educator Training Workshop
Our workshop does not teach you what  to teach, but how  to teach it!

We know that many have been teaching for some time and know the basics of pregnancy and birth. Or perhaps you are already a maternal health care professional who has been asked or wants to teach expectant parents.  Why repeat what you already know?  In this innovative workshop you will learn how to address the learning needs of the adult learner in a variety of setting: using lecture, discussion, group work, visual aids (including videos, charts and models) to provide your clients with the most effective and enjoyable learning experience possible.  Presented in an objective and evidence-based forum, the tools you will walk away with will enhance your existing classes and make teaching more enjoyable for you too!

Antepartum Care Specialist Training Workshop

According to US statistics, 4 million babies are born each year. However the number of high risk pregnancies is increasing and with that (nearly 1 in 4), the number of mothers who are restricted to bedrest for some or a large portion of their pregnancy. To meet the needs of this growing population of mothers who need support, Advanced Birthing Concepts announced July 1 the Antepartum Care Specialist Certificate Program. Whether you care for them on bedrest at home or in a hospital setting, bedrest mothers’ physical, educational, emotional and spiritual care is unique and vital! Get the latest research and how you can apply concepts to your practice setting. Who is eligible? Nurses or LPNs who currently give care on an Antepartum Unit or through a home care agency; doulas who see an increasing number of high risk clients; childbirth educators who would like to provide Antepartum education and support.
